Brenda Villotoro, Chef Instructor
Chef Brenda lives by her favorite quotation “knowledge is power” which she also imparts to her students. This
best explains why, after graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, Chef Brenda
continued her studies at the International Pastry Arts Center in Katonah, NY. She also traveled to France and
Switzerland to attend training classes in chocolates. One of her treasured accomplishments was winning the grand
prize in the competition sponsored by the Societe Culinaire Philanthropique for her showpiece cake and artistic
chocolate displays. She moved to Las Vegas and helped open the Excalibur Hotel & Casino where she worked
as assistant pastry chef. She also worked at Caesar’s Palace, MGM Grand, and Luxor. Chef Brenda was also
involved in the adult education program at the community college where she taught introduction to chocolates.
