Aminta Martinez, Instructor
Ms. Martinez earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Engineering at Catholic University, Valparaiso, Chile, and has experience in the field of manufacturing frozen and canned fruit, vegetable and seafood products. She traveled to the United States in 1993 to earn a Master of Science degree in Food Engineering and went on to develop several projects for various agricultural and dairy concerns in Tennessee. Ms. Martinez has taught in Chile as well as locally for the Food and Beverage and International Language departments at the Community College of Southern Nevada. A stint as Food Service Manager for the Clark County School District widened her already wide-ranging experience in the food science field. And, last but not least, she is multilingual – fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Ms. Martinez teaches Sanitation and Nutrition.
