At Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Las Vegas, we combine some of the finest European cooking traditions with modern American technology. The result is one of the most intensive, practical, and comprehensive culinary-arts programs.
The curriculum is based on student interest and food-industry demands. Students can receive competency-based training that includes exposure to an array of culinary proficiencies and are required to demonstrate these at every level of the program. General courses teach crucial cognitive skills and help complete a well-rounded education.
Upon successful graduation, students receive an Associate of Occupation Science Degree and the coveted Le Cordon Bleu Diplôme. Here are a few of the courses included as part of the program:
CUL 120 Introduction to Culinary Skills II
Get an introduction to stocks, sauces, vegetables, rice, pasta, and other grains, as well as basic butchery techniques. Students prepare a variety of meat, fish, and poultry items while practicing basic cooking techniques taught in CUL 110.
BKG 210 Advanced Baking and Pastry
Learn the principles and skills required to make components of plated desserts, frozen desserts, custards, dessert soufflés, creams, mousses, and chocolate and sugar displays.
CUL 282 Principles of European and Asian Cuisines
Through lectures and interactive demonstrations, students are taught the basic culinary principles of European and Asian cuisines, with a focus on indigenous ingredients and fundamental cooking techniques, including knife work.

The program is designed to be 15 months long: 12 months on campus followed by a three-month, on-the-job externship. The time needed to complete the program can vary depending on the individual circumstances of the student.

Graduates of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Las Vegas are trained to work in positions such as prep cook, sous chef, baker, pastry chef, pantry chef, and garde manger chef in settings like restaurants, hotels, schools, bakeries, resorts, and cruise ships.
