Tony Ramos, Chef Instructor
Chef Ramos hails from the tropical islands of Hawaii, where he earned an Associate of Occupational Science degree in Culinary Arts and Food Service Management, with further training at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. Among his impressive list of credits are: Executive Chef at Sam Choy’s Kahului and Royal Lahaina Resort, both in Hawaii, Chef de Cuisine at the Westin Maui Resort, Sous Chef at New York, New York Hotel and Casino, and Chef de Partie at Wynn Las Vegas. In addition to restaurant experience, Chef Ramos has served as Chef Instructor at Leeward Community College and Kapiolani Community College, both in Hawaii. Chef Ramos states: "I love to teach and share my experience in the industry with aspiring culinarians. I believe that today’s culinarians will be more qualified and have better opportunities in the industry with a combination of education and on-the-job training… I just want to be a part of their success."
