Urbano Salvati, Chef Instructor
Recognized as a Certified Executive Chef by the American Culinary Federation (ACF), and with many years of experience in the United States and abroad (he is originally from Italy), Chef Salvati has been affiliated with Le Cordon Bleu North America since its inception in 2001. He helped to open the first Le Cordon Bleu school in the U.S. (in Minnesota) and started the International Internship – helping many students study in France. Chef Salvati has been a winning participant in a variety of ACF competitions, and won a Gold medal in the Le Cordon Bleu Chef Competition. In addition, Chef Salvati has earned certificates and awards from the Oregon Chef de Cuisine Society. A student of Philosophy and Business Leadership, he has written many articles related to the culinary field and to philosophy (he introduced the idea of cool knowledge), and to the inter-relatedness of the two disciplines. Chef Salvati’s vast experience and host of talents allow him to teach many courses at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Las Vegas.
